University Journal of Student Projects and Research (UJSPR) Volume 3, 2026 Abstract: Office Equipment Management System (OEMS) is a web-based application developed to streamline and modernize the management of physical assets throughout their life cycle within an organization. In many organizations, asset allocation, employee equipment requests, maintenance management, and inventory tracking are still handled through manual records or fragmented spreadsheets, which can lead to inaccurate records, approval delays, and asset loss. The proposed system addresses these challenges by providing a centralized platform for managing the complete asset life cycle, including asset registration, requests, approval, assignment, issuance, return, maintenance, and disposal. The system is developed using Laravel, Blade UI, Bootstrap, and JavaScript, with MySQL as the database and XAMPP as the local server environment. It incorporates role-based access control and structured approval workflows to ensure that asset requests are properly reviewed and processed. By reducing manual data entry and providing centralized and traceable asset records, the system improves data accuracy, operational efficiency, accountability, and transparency, while reducing the risk of asset loss and misuse.
